Embossings

Pati has also been creating embossings for over 30 years.
First by making an impression on a metal plate using an acid reduction process to create the Embossings. Tools are used to file and define the plates to get the fine detail. After the plate is made she moves to her etching press where the paper is laid over the plate and is then hand pulled through the press. Each embossing is hand colored individually with vibrant watercolors. Her work has evolved over the past few years as she has started beading into the paper, adding brass sequins, porcupine quills and her own interesting designed papers.
